Storm Fred approaches Florida as a Tropical Storm while another storm follows

Storm Fred, which had been categorized to a tropical depression on Wednesday while going through the Caribbean, is now slowly gaining strength as it approaches Florida and the Keys and is likely to become a tropical storm again. The storm’s projected landfall on Florida is on Friday night or Saturday morning according to the National Hurricane Center.

Certain isolated areas in Cuba could potentially see up to 5 inches of rain, so storm Fred is forecast to bringing similar heavy rain and flash flooding to Florida during the weekend and about three to seven inches on Monday. Isolated areas in Florida could expect up to 10 inches.
